Busy :(
[info]carolyuen
Sadly, I'm always busy with stuff like performance tasks recently. Guess it is a problem of not focusing more on schoolwork. :( I'm going to put more effort in schoolwork like never. Learning journeys next week and the March holidays will give me some time to make myself feel more refreshed, which is a good thing... though I still have a lot of graded assessments to worry about.

POPULAR SUCKS
[info]carolyuen
After my tuition today I went to Popular @Northpoint. I saw page2primer there and I had previously informed them to notice me via phone if this book arrived. They didn't. Those fakas! And I had to queue once more because I bought a Literature Guidebook before I saw that book. Long queue pls. Idk what's up with those people, but most of them either bought board games, or toys for kids. Bad day pls.

Clarifications

Anyway, if you can't find my face at Stalford Learning Centre (North Point), it's at the Confucius Mandarin Institute beside it. Hope you have a pleasant admiring experience lozl.

Popular BookFest
[info]carolyuen
I went to BookFest @Singapore at Suntec with my father today. The Popular staff, most likely temporary ones employed just for the sake of those 10 days the book fair is held, were extremely unhelpful. When I asked one where I could find a book I wanted, they either told me they didn't know or to look for other people, and pointed to the staff with aprons. My father told me he overheard one staff instructing his colleague to respond to a customer requesting for help in finding a book by saying it's out of stock. Why the hell did Popular employ such people. So stupid pls. I had to look for certain books myself zzzzz.

At least, when we were at the cashier paying for our items, the cashier was a total fail but that was okay because he forgot to scan the barcode of those Pentel Hybrid Technica pens I bought. Uh that was very good I got an extra $9.90 discount. Anyway I think the main reason for his ultra-careless error was because my father wanted to know the price of a cookbook or something that was displayed on the counter, but the cashier didn't know so he scanned it to find out and had to cancel the item since my father didn't want it in the end. He became sort of blur after that, but whatever it's advantageous to me pls. Keke.

Journal Revival
[info]carolyuen
After much consideration, I decided to post regularly in this journal once again as to express my feelings, or perhaps to share with people I know out there recent events of mine. Hopefully I'll continue to realise the benefits of blogging, as I do occasionally forget, and once again remember.

When I went for tuition today, I saw my big, and chubby, face on a banner. If you see Stalford Learning Centre at Jurong Point or North Point, or maybe some other places where I'm not sure if they have my face too, you should be able to admire my face. Good pls. They split the tuition centre into two shops, like one for English, Mathematics and Science lessons, while the other (Confucius Mandarin Institute or something like that) specialises in Chinese, obviously seen in the name as well. Most likely a business tactic to show they're good in Chinese and will attract more parents. Not forgetting the fact about how parents really complained about their child doing badly in Chinese and blah, all crap. The Chinese standard is already as suitable as it can be. Too many changes results in Singaporean kids being unable to cope in future. Setting the standard that way wasn't a mistake in the first place. Who we can blame are those parents who fail to teach their kids the way of life properly.

That's about all and I'm pretty sure my posts won't be as long as before, which I have to spend a lot of time writing pls.

Spot the difference

No, this isn't about the game. It's just a reply I want to make to Yu Xin's blogpost at 7.06 p.m. today. Plus a test I've taken (link from Xing Yue's blog).

ARTS fest preparation
[info]carolyuen
Today we did mass dance and preparation for our ARTS (All Rafflesians Take Stage) Fest/ ACP (Aesthetics Class Project tomorrow). I did indeed help out, because this time Mrs Teo came into the classroom and were looking for me and Yu Xin, according to Vivian. But we ignored Vivian's words and continued playing Boxhead on Y8. You'll find out more eventually if you read the whole of this post.

Rejection of the year
[info]carolyuen

I was reading through Mangafox's Naruto forum and I found this user who had a signature with 'Rejection of the Year' and showing the manga page where Naruto rejects Sakura's fake love confession (she was only doing so to stop Naruto from trying to bring Sasuke back and putting himself in grave danger any longer). So interesting pls!!!!1 Naruto is just so amazing everytime he completes the task of saving others. He really teaches me that persistence is important (with him always saying 'never giving up' is his way of the ninja) and maybe I even applied it while doing my test papers k.

This is how you do it
[info]carolyuen
I acted crazily today during several instances, ranging from painting to cleaning up to home economics activities (Girls' Brigade has badges so we have one that's called 'educational', in which we have to learn something new, so since the teacher-in-charge's, Mrs Lee's, cooking is her speciality, we're supposed to learn that in about 4 lessons -- in the subsequent lessons we get to try making mocktails and pizzas). Both were complete phailures though. Pictures included (and those taken are precisely the reason why I name this post 'This is how you do it' -- learn the right way).
